40-Day Salawat Challenge
About Muhammad ﷺ, Healer of Hearts
Salutations upon Rasulullah ﷺ, commonly known as Salawat or Durood has been central to the Islamic Spiritual Tradition, arguably from the time of our Sayyidina Adam a.s.
Known for numerous benefits across time for anyone from all walks of life, Salutations upon Rasulullah ﷺ has served as an important tool, coping mechanism and a source of guidance for individuals to navigate and transform through the challenges and obstacles of life. This is especially so for us who live in a time where we are faced with a multitude of expectations, which comes with it challenges from various responsibilities and individuals in our lives - work, family, school and the community. Coupled with the increasing pace at which we have to cater to our responsibilities, it is easy for us to feel emotionally, mentally and spiritually drained, ultimately losing track of our identity and purpose of being a servant of Allah s.w.t. It is no wonder that across the 1400 years of Islamic history, Scholars, Saints and community leaders have always encouraged and stressed upon communities on the importance of Salutations upon Rasulullah ﷺ.
Known for its purpose to increase our love for, and knowledge of our Prophet, Muhammad ﷺ Healer of Hearts aims to increase the communal appreciation and love for Rasulullah ﷺ through salutations upon Rasulullah ﷺ, strengthen communal ties and to inculcate the awareness and habit of salutions upon Rasulullah ﷺ as a means of overcoming the adversities in life through a 40 Day Challenge.
